An old farmhouse next to the river in Zumaia. Very easy to miss as it is somewhat hidden off the beaten track. Marvellous grill house. If you can find a table outside, the setting is idyllic. Austere interior, very typical of the region. Don’t miss the spider crab, the sea bream and the potato omelette. It has its own vegetable garden on an island reached via a Roman bridge. Good produce and good wine selection. Efficient, appreciative staff from the local area. A mandatory stop.
