Operating since 1956 and with various locations, this humble spot is best known for its original venue. It doesn’t seek glamour but aims to offer sandwiches on the traditional pan de agua bread. With options ranging from a simple grilled cheese or chicken sandwich to the Payán Special, with pork shoulder, ham, and cheese. They also serve the traditional morisoñando drink, various fruit juices, and smoothies made with evaporated milk. The staff is attentive and friendly. Open 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays. This iconic place is frequented by diners at all hours, including after a party, concert, or nightclub.
