This is one of the essential stops on any pintxos crawl through San Sebastián’s old quarter. The house motto, “Here we cook”, is taken very seriously. Almost everything is cooked to order, with tapas and half portions flying out of a kitchen that, in a different setting, might boast far more accolades than it already does. Highlights include the stewed cod tripe, the unmissable kokotxas in pilpil sauce, a flavoursome baby squid ravioli, pork ribs and the emblematic Idiazabal risotto. One of Donostia’s true temples of miniature cuisine.
