This family-run business has been going since the mid-20th century and continues to serve traditional Catalan home-cooked food of the highest quality in the form of tapas, excellent fish dishes and hearty stews. Highlights include some of the best croquettes in the city and a hake that’s always cooked to perfection, though everything on the menu is excellent. The wine list plays it safe, and the service retains that old-school feel, efficient and attentive. The restaurant features bistrot-style tables and an excellent private dining room accessed via the kitchen. It’s best to book, as it’s usually full. It never disappoints.
