Mesón La Tomasa

Founded in 1976, this traditional eatery has earned a strong reputation for its Castilian stews. Offal is prepared here like in few other places—pig’s trotters, stewed tongue and tripe, alongside Castilian soup, stewed pigeons, free-range chicken, snails, hare and, of course, black pudding. It's worth saving room for the homemade desserts. The setting is a humble Castilian dining room with no frills—bar, paper tablecloths, slot machines, and all. The real luxury is on the plate.
