This farmhouse at the foot of the Izarraitz massif is reached by a narrow, winding road, which is single-lane in many sections. The dining rooms and large terrace are a meeting point for mountaineers and hiking enthusiasts. The cuisine is based on Basque tradition, with beans and meat as their flagship dishes, including spit-roasted lamb, although the fish dishes are also excellent. The croquettes, especially the black pudding ones, and the homemade desserts such as flan, curd or apple pie are a must. On weekends it is best to book.
