On the banks of the River Mandeo, in the old quarter of Betanzos, this charming spot looks to the countryside rather than fleeting trends. Contemporary Galician cuisine firmly rooted in the land, using seasonal, organic produce from the Mariñas Coruñesas Biosphere Reserve. The à la carte menu is appealing, but the best option is to opt for one of the tasting menus, where each dish tells a story of the local area. The wine list has a distinctly local soul, offering wines from Betanzos and the Mariñas. A true slow food experience in every sense, and one that’s hard to resist.
