In this old Castilian house, several generations have kept traditional cuisine alive, using produce from Madrid’s vegetable gardens and time-honoured recipes. Among the house specialities are Castilian soup, potato omelette, lamb sweetbreads, rooster in pepitoria, stewed venison and cod with ratatouille. It features a number of rustic dining rooms, decorated with antiques, wooden beams, earthen floors and an exposed oven where the lambs are roasted. A classic stop that never disappoints.
