Opened in 1943 by Otto Horcher himself and now run by Elisabeth, the fourth generation, this restaurant is a living part of Spain’s gastronomic history. Traditional and bourgeois, it remains one of the most historic and elegant dining rooms in Madrid. Central European cuisine in which the finishing touches and plating in the dining room stand out, featuring classics such as Don Víctor consommé, partridge à la presse, venison loin and their iconic dessert, Baumkuchen. A classic wine cellar and old-school service that attends to every last detail. Gentlemen are required to wear a dinner jacket. A place to travel back in time.
