Open since 1962, various remodels haven’t altered its essence or meticulous décor. Located near Los Arquillos, it has two different zones: the Zabala despensa or pantry for snacking, and the traditional grill house upstairs with its enormous vaulted ceiling. Original, well-presented dishes, some of them hard to find, like the Thai Mediterranean mussels, the glazed ribs and kimchi, or grilled pluma (pork end loin) with chutney. The goxua, the most iconic Basque dessert, was introduced here in 1976.
