The tavern version of Koy Shunka tucked in a dark alley beside the cathedral. They serve authentic Japanese food with a few surprises. Modest, no-frills establishment; the important thing is the quality of their products. The toro (tuna belly), tataki, sea urchin and eel nigiri are to die for. The dishes come out with perfect timing. If you have a special meeting, go to Koy Shunka and order the tasting menu, but if you go with friends or family, Shunka is the place for guaranteed enjoyment. It's best to book, preferably at the bar so you don't miss seeing the chefs in action.
