This lively, informal tapas bar is spread over two floors and features a large central counter and high and low tables that are always full. A wall lined with bottles makes it clear that the drinks offering is also important. The menu is extensive and varied, with flautas, montaditos, classic tapas, cured meats, cheeses and daily specials. The huevos cabreados (furious eggs), Spanish omelette, sirloin and foie gras montadito and octopus are firm favourites, and the torrija brings things to a satisfying close. They don’t take bookings and queues at the door are common, a sure sign they’re doing something right.
