The only bar in Nieva de Cameros is usually bustling with local villagers and the occasional curious traveller drawn in by the well-earned culinary reputation. Ramón has created a comfortable, welcoming spot that works just as well for a quick glass of wine as it does for settling in over a selection of small dishes and hearty dishes. Finger-licking croquettes, cured lamb, excellent black pudding with red peppers, cachopo beef and, of course, glorious fried eggs with crispy edges, homemade chips and Serrano ham are all part of the appeal. An unpretentious but exquisite and satisfying experience.
