This long-established tavern has one of the most famous bars in Madrid. Traditional tapas and half-portions are written up on the blackboard. Their bravas potatoes are famous, as are the torrezno pork scratchings, the callos and the reasonably-priced shellfish. They know how to pour a good beer here. There is an aluminium bar counter and the walls are covered in Moorish tiles. There’s no sitting: you come here to shout your order and eat standing up at the bar. It's quite an experience.
