Just a few kilometres from Peñafiel lies this culinary pilgrimage site, where five generations have kept alive the tradition of roasting lamb as it was done in the past. The undisputed star is the churro lamb, roasted in adobe ovens using only water and salt, resulting in crispy skin and exceptionally tender, flavourful meat. The menu is rounded out with other specialities such as meats and offal (brains, sweetbreads or kidneys), along with homemade desserts and an extensive, carefully curated wine cellar. Considered by many to be the most iconic Castilian grill house in Spain. And with good reason.
