A timeless classic in Gijón. It has two restaurants: this one in La Merced is the younger version, but it manages to retain the time-honoured essence and flavours. There are various options for snacking, whether you choose the terrace, the bar or the dining room. Some of the most common dishes to be seen on tables are the spicy chorizo criollo, the Sancho salad, fresh squid, sweetbreads and kidneys. For dessert, as well as homemade desserts such as cheesecake or flan, they also offer the unmissable local ice cream from La Ibense. Ideal for informal lunches and dinners. A guaranteed hit!
