Founded in 1974 and now run by siblings Patricia, Borja and Guillermo Sierra, this family-run business is one of the city’s great temples of stews and slow-cooked fare. People come to this neighbourhood eatery to enjoy hearty breakfasts and Catalan cuisine prepared with care using excellent ingredients. The croquettes, potato salad, capipota and cod omelette are sure-fire hits. The service is efficient and friendly. The venue, simple in style with a certain bistro feel, is usually packed with locals. It is open for breakfast and lunch only. A place that wins over even the most discerning palates.
