Calados are traditional underground wine cellars built beneath homes for making and storing wine. That’s the setting offered by this restaurant in the heart of the village: two 17th-century calados lovingly restored and converted into dining rooms. The menu features a selection of deeply Riojan dishes, with highlights including vegetables from the region’s gardens, comforting stew dishes and roasted meats such as suckling lamb or suckling pig. An enjoyable experience in a truly authentic Riojan calado.
