This family-run restaurant, located a few metres from Astorga's Cathedral, specialises in the traditional cocido maragato, a hearty local stew. Here it is served in reverse order to the usual and chickpeas are the star ingredient. The menu includes typical local dishes such as maragata salad, mushrooms with Valdeón cheese, fried cod and premium red meats from the Teleno mountains. For dessert, the custard never disappoints. The rustic and cosy dining room makes you feel at home, and there is also a pleasant terrace. A good choice for all types of diners.
