The name pays homage to León’s most popular tapas district, and the restaurant brings that tavern-like atmosphere to the area opposite El Retiro Park. The menu is simple and appealing, with a focus on cured meats, pickled dishes, marinated dishes and stews. The cecina, marinated salmon and pulses from Tierra de Campos are fine examples. On the first Friday of every month, they serve a superb maragato cocido stew. The wine list features a fine selection of wines from León and champagne. The service is friendly and prices are reasonable. A reliable spot for a casual bite to eat.
