Since 1977, this restaurant has kept traditional Spanish cuisine alive, with quality ingredients and time-honoured recipes at the heart of its identity. Its cocido madrileño is widely regarded as one of the best in the region and is served in several courses, with generous portions, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays by prior reservation. The rest of the menu features house specialities such as pig’s trotters. The atmosphere is warm, with stone walls, exposed wooden beams and two terraces, one of them overlooking the Monastery of El Escorial. A classic of the Madrid mountains that offers far more than just its celebrated cocido.
