Kurantu

In the small village of Santa María de la Alameda, this restaurant, run by a young couple, offers a highly personal take on Spanish cuisine, centred on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The Japanese kamado grill lends its characteristic charcoal-grilled flavour to a menu that breaks away from local conventions, with a particular focus on offal and meat. The wine list features local wines and labels from small producers. The dining room, with its rustic feel, has just a few tables and a large window offering lovely views. It is open for lunch only. A sure-fire getaway.
