The life and soul of La Tasquita de Enfrente, Juanjo López, is behind this project. A small, simple and comfortable space in which the open kitchen is fully integrated into the dining room. The star of the single set lunch menu is a highly original take on Madrid-style cocido stew. Using the same broth base, they have created a version that is served in the classic stages, but have swapped in innovative ingredients such as ropa vieja croquettes, ramen noodles or bone marrow. Die-hard traditionalists will be in for a surprise. Evenings are reserved for traditional cuisine and recipes that focus on the product. Staff who get the job done and good wine selection. A different cocido stew.
