An informal project by Juanjo López of La Tasquita de Enfrente, born of a desire to create a typical, old-school Madrid tavern. Traditional home-style cuisine. The no-frills menu is appealing, packed with classics such as the calamari sandwich, Spanish omelette, potato salad, tripe, "broken eggs" and spicy brava potatoes. There is also a section with grilled dishes and the stews of the day. The kitchen stays open all day. A tribute to the taverns of a bygone era.
