Established at the beginning of the 19th century in the Cabanyal neighbourhood, this is the oldest tavern in Valencia. The anchovies and vermouths are famous, as are the typical dishes of the Poblados Marítimos, the city district where it’s located. As well as titaina (Valencian ratatouille) rolls, sepionets (cuttlefish) and clóchinas (Valencian mussels), you’ll find top-quality cured cuts, canned delicacies, meats and cheese. Small venue with a vibe that’s well worth exploring. Ask for a high table at the back. A must in the area.
