Hidden away in the old village school of Akorda is a tavern with soul. Nothing fancy, just stone walls, wooden tables and a simple atmosphere that invites you to stay. The food is homemade, very basic, yet tasty and served in generous portions. The croquettes are a must, and the dishes are perfect for refuelling if you're walking the route to San Pedro de Atxarre. It's one of those places that doesn't try to impress, but does so anyway. An essential stop if you're in the area.
