Carlos Casillas’s most casual and accessible offering shares the building with his restaurant Barro. The venue is spacious and welcoming, with different areas and a terrace offering spectacular views of the city walls. The cuisine draws on Castilian roots and skilfully updates them in a menu designed for sharing. Everything looks tempting, making it hard to choose: monkfish fritters, pickled mussels, rabbit ravioli or lentils with wild boar. The wine list offers good options at reasonable prices. A pleasant place to eat well and enjoy a long, leisurely after-dinner chat.
