Just a stone’s throw away from Oviedo Cathedral, this venue is famous for its superlative stews and offal dishes. Frequented by locals and tourists, it offers a good lunchtime menu and some interesting set menus throughout the year, coinciding with local gastronomic festivals. The tripe, fabada (bean stew), wild mushrooms and, in the season, game stews are all highly recommended. The desserts are equally top-notch and the wine list is satisfactory. Good value for money. If you can, ask for a table on the terrace so you can admire the stunning views of the cathedral.
