This historic delicatessen in the Eixample district, open since 1898, combines a deli counter – stocked with cured meats and cheeses – with a bar, high tables and a small dining room. The market-fresh cuisine is all about the product, with dishes such as the beef Wellington croissant, cod brandade salad, macaroni or Catalan-style roast beef. Before dessert, it’s well worth ordering a cheese from their selection. A place full of history and charm that remains very much alive.
