This is one of those classic restaurants in Jaén that has managed to stay true to itself over the years. A family-run establishment where the ingredients take centre stage and the cuisine is traditional and unpretentious, particularly excellent when it comes to fish, seafood, seasonal vegetables and time-honoured recipes. It’s well worth taking their advice and asking about the products and off-menu suggestions, which form an important part of the experience. The atmosphere is simple, welcoming and very much in the Jaén style, with friendly service that makes you feel right at home. It also has a lovely terrace. A benchmark for Jaén’s gastronomy.
