Chefs Nazario Cano and Víctor Vila, formerly of the legendary and now closed El Amparo, head up this restaurant, where they present a traditional cuisine updated with subtle creative touches. The menu is appealing, with a focus on stews, rice dishes and charcoal-grilled meats and fish. Standouts include the cannelloni with stew, mushrooms and truffle, the lobster salad and the crisp suckling pig with potatoes. The wine list is thoughtfully assembled, and the service aims to please. The venue offers several different settings, from a highly inviting terrace and an informal cocktail area to an elegant dining room upstairs. A solid, well-executed proposal.
