Juan Monteagudo (Ababol) arrives in Madrid from Albacete with an informal tavern whose laid-back proposal pays tribute to his famous, award-winning ham croquette. The menu is simple and recognisable, rooted in La Mancha traditions where stews take centre stage. Sheperd's migas, verdina beans, pisto (ratatouille) and gazpachos manchegos are among the favourites. There’s also a good set lunch menu. The space is simple and includes a terrace. A place to eat well at reasonable prices.
