A place with a history in the Chamberí neighbourhood. The photographs on the walls tell us who has been here: it was once an obligatory meeting point for celebrities. Classic, bullfighting décor of a traditional Madrilenian bar. Since 1942 they have served cocido, served in two stages and in generous portions. The menu revolves around the cocido, but the callos are also a must. Don’t be in a hurry: there is only one sitting and the waiting staff encourage you to indulge in table talk.
