This old-school tavern, with its classic décor of stone walls, wood and linen-draped tables, serves an unpretentious cuisine. Stews and well-prepared ingredients reign supreme here. There’s a wide range of set menus, including a much-loved bean menu that can be enjoyed on its own or paired with battered hake medallions. Purrusalda is another house staple, and the T-bone steak certainly doesn’t go unnoticed. Portions are generous and the service is fast and experienced. A place best approached with a healthy appetite.
