Kerren Asador

Open since 1940, this is Bilbao’s oldest grill house and a sure bet for anyone in search of a great T-bone steak. The charcoal also works its magic on other meats and fish, as well as on a burduntzi lamb available by pre-order, roasted whole for hours and served with black pudding from the Mardaras farmhouse — a real rarity in the city. To finish, the brioche torrija (French toast) never disappoints. With four grills working non-stop and a large dining room, it’s an ideal spot for groups.
