With a refreshed look, this classic has come back strong under the guidance of the former owners. It works just as well for grabbing a few pintxos at the bar as it does for a more formal meal in the spacious dining room, always with Basque cuisine as the common thread. There are oxtail croquettes, venison cannelloni, well-handled fish, hearty stews and a top-quality T-bone steak. On weekdays, the set lunch menu draws a steady crowd. Service is pleasant and personal, overseen by the owner himself. Still early in this new chapter, it’s already building a loyal following — and for good reason.
