This bar outside the most touristy part of town is one of the oldest establishments in the city. It was a landmark for pintxos for years. Currently it preserves the essence with its long designer bar, where they present classics such as chorrera (battered egg, ham and cheese), the ropa vieja with long-finned tuna tartlet or the delicia (a toast with anchovy). There’s a dining room in the back and another one on the lower level where they have an à la carte menu with platters and basic dishes. Service is somewhat erratic. A good option for having a drink and some pintxos.
