Located opposite the mosque in the heart of the Jewish quarter, this restaurant is a legendary spot in the city. Now, under the leadership of María Escribano, the founder’s granddaughter, it has been updated with a few more modern dishes. They offer carefully prepared Cordoban cuisine with influences from Al-Andalus, in which dishes like salmorejo, aubergines with honey, Mozarabic monkfish, smoked tuna and oxtail stand out. Half portions are available. The atmosphere is more formal inside, while the patio offers a more relaxed vibe. The old-school service, dressed in bow ties, is attentive and dedicated. A varied wine list rounds off the experience. A safe bet.
