Hidden in the basement of a building in the old town, this historic restaurant has been offering authentic San Sebastián cuisine since the 1970s. Its pronounced txoko feel sits alongside contemporary décor, dim lighting and a welcoming atmosphere. The à la carte menu reinvents itself without losing its roots, with traditional recipes and seasonal suggestions. There is also a tasting menu and menus for groups. The service is warm, polite and well timed. As a curiosity, Martín Berasategui took his first steps here, as the restaurant belonged to his parents and aunt.
