At this omakase counter for just eight diners, the chef also takes on the roles of host and sommelier. Here, the idea is to surrender to a changing tasting menu created by Chef Rui, featuring nigiri, temaki, gunkan and other bites made with fresh fish and less common Japanese ingredients. Desserts come as a pleasant surprise, and the wine selection, though brief, is thoughtfully chosen. It’s ideal for small groups or for ending up in conversation with fellow diners. Open for dinner only. Despite its short history, demand is high and securing a reservation is not easy.
