In Triana, in the León neighbourhood, this eatery keeps high-quality traditional cuisine alive, with fish, seafood and stews taking centre stage. Its founder, the charming Ramona, still pops into the restaurant from time to time, although these days it is her daughter Pepa who is at the helm. The prawns in tomato sauce with fried eggs are the star dish, and the chickpeas, cuttlefish meatballs and scrambled cod are no less impressive. The restaurant is unpretentious, with a real neighbourhood atmosphere and friendly service, although this can suffer when it gets busy. Booking is essential. A Triana secret that’s becoming less and less well kept.
