Carlos and Ignacio Echapresto are behind this wine-and-food space inside the Palacio de los Ángeles Hotel in Haro. More informal than their acclaimed Venta de Moncalvillo, the concept is divided between restaurant, wine bar and terrace, always with local ingredients and the essence of La Rioja at its core. The cooking blends tradition and modernity through delicious appetisers and beautifully balanced dishes. Chargrilled asparagus with hollandaise and black truffle, cod with fritada or trout with yoghurt cream are enough to satisfy even the most demanding palate. The wine list, thoughtfully put together, pays tribute to La Rioja. A place made for enjoyment.
